Can I sincerely hold others in pain
Without bringing me in?
Can I be part of the joy and pain of others
Without crossing in?
Can I truly listen to the suffering
Standing outside looking in?
Inside these surrounding walls of silos
Constructed in carefully placed rows,
Is not my joy and pain
The same as the others?
We need to work together
Because our liberation is tied with each other
But why does my face interfere
In tenderly reaching out and touching the other?
Behind these rows of safety
Is hidden the true beauty.
Help me break these walls of false security
So I can stumble to that place of unity.
Under the many masks of humanity
Is the one true face of the Almighty.
A ‘Faceless Heart’ has to be my identity
To recognize the work of that beauty
With Love and Respect
